Heather Maslen

"I am a photographer working both in black and white and colour and
the images I make are a personal response to the world around me.
Line, light, shape and texture are strong elements in my images as I try
to convey both the strength and the fragility of our landscape. Having
lived near the sea for most of my life I have a great love for the coast,
as well as all the wild and windy places that can be found around the
British Isles, which I explore with my camera.

Whilst most of my current work is landscape, I also enjoy environmental
portrait and still life photography and have recently begun to turn my
  hand to these once again.

I have travelled extensively and studied Photography in the Art
Programme at the University of Anchorage when I lived in Alaska. I have
held exhibitions both in Anchorage and in Aberdeen and I have won
several awards for my images. I am available for commission."
